I can thank one of my teachers at Temple (woot! Temple!) for this one. If you don't know the second movement of the Schubert Piano Sonata in b-flat major, D. 960, you really should. This is just one of those pieces that never tires you. (Well, Sara may be tired of it after having to listen to it incessantly.) Anyway, it's been a mostly Schubert day in the Library. Furthermore, it's been a quiet day in the library and Sara has been subjected to me all day. MWAHAHAHA!
Speaking of bad ideas, I was given the task of calling the delinquents who still have library items from July 6!! I have been as nice as possible even to the people who responded to the dilemma of having library fines with: "And?" Grrr. Arrrgh.
Anyhoo...
I was late today because I had an entertaining adventure on the bus ride from Basalt. I think I spent nearly three hours on the RFTA bus system. Oh Joy.
Sara entertained a conversation on the discrepencies between Chopin and Schubert. (Schubert is way better.) Also, I managed to use "truncate" and "deplete" in the same sentence while talking to a patron. Mmmm...vocabulary.
All in all, it's been an okay day and Sara has managed to survive over 4 hours of my company. See? I'm not so bad....
